Astronomy projects & activities

Undergraduate Thesis:

Structure and Kinematics of a Jet - Accretion Disk System
We studied waters masers around a low-mass Young Stellar Object (Class 0 - I).

Geometrical Approximation of the North Galactic Pole using Stars From a Galactic Disk

More about this project
This was my first peer-reviewed paper as first author, and is currently published in the Bolivian Journal of Physics (Revista Boliviana de Física). On this paper I developed a simple (geometrical) model to approximate the North Galactic Pole using pairs of stars that meet certain requirements.

Astronomy club activities

More about this project Since 2022 I manage my faculty’s Astronomy Club, currently we have around 40 members (with 20 of them active). We’ve participated in different activities like fairs and we also take part in the organization of different courses, seminars or even Hackathons. The club is managed by the faculty’s planetarium Planetario Max Schreier

Bolivian Asteroid Search Campaign (ABASC)

More about this project On this project, Bolivian students can work on real astronomy data (from Hawaii telescopes), to search for telescopes. This educational project was led by me from 2018 to 2023.
